Reserve a market space

You can easily book a sales space at Vaasa Market Square using the online booking system.

All sales spaces measure 4 × 4 metres. In the booking system, you can choose and book a suitable space from those available. If necessary, you may move your sales point to another available space after 9:00 am, provided that it is located along the market’s designated sales aisle. The central area of the Market Square is reserved for events.

Note!

  • Electricity is not included with the sales space. Electricity (three-phase power) is charged separately, and a space with access to electricity will be assigned separately.
  • Parking on the Market Square is not permitted without a separate parking permit. Parking permits are issued only to annual space holders.

Long-term rental

If you would like to rent a sales space for a longer period or organise an event or promotion at the Market Square, please contact Visit Vaasa. A separate rental agreement will be drawn up.

  • Daily space (4 × 4 m): €17.00 (incl. VAT 25.5%)
  • Monthly space (4 × 4 m): €165.00 (incl. VAT 25.5%)
  • Annual space (4 × 4 m): €295.00 (VAT 0%)
  • Food truck, sales from a vehicle or kiosk (1 month): €260.00 (incl. VAT 25.5%)
  • Electricity (three-phase power), per day: €20.00 (incl. VAT 25.5%)
  • Ice cream kiosk (maximum 4 kiosks): €2,550.00 (VAT 0%)
  • Entire Market Square, daily rental: €700.00 (incl. VAT 25.5%)

Long-term tenants arrange their electricity contract directly with Vaasan Sähkö

Trading hours

  • 15 May–31 Aug 7:00–21:00
  • 1 Sep–14 May 7:00–18:00

Sales spaces designated for food sales may also operate outside these hours (so-called night-time sales). Sales points operating at night must close no later than 05:00.

Access to the Market Square by motor vehicle

Access to the Market Square is from the corner of Vaasanpuistikko and Alatori. Approach along Vaasanpuistikko from the north (from the direction of Kokkola) and turn onto the Market Square immediately after the traffic lights.

Exit via the same route. For cars, the easiest route is to turn onto Alatori and continue from there via Hovioikeudenpuistikko to Pitkäkatu. Longer vehicles may, if necessary, turn onto Vaasanpuistikko towards Vaskiluoto. Please pay particular attention to traffic travelling along Vaasanpuistikko when doing so.
