Edlevo is the new service for Early Childhood Education and Care transactions in Vaasa. The aim is to make guardians’ everyday life easier and to streamline staff work.
Currently two services are in use: Edlevo App and Wilma. Not all functions are yet in one place. We will notify guardians when new functions are introduced.
What you can do in the Edlevo App
In the Edlevo App you take care of everyday matters:
- book and edit care times
- see care times in a monthly view
- report an unexpected absence
- send messages to Early Childhood Education and Care
- read announcements
- answer surveys (e.g. holiday and permission surveys)
- update your contact details (phone and email)
- add an additional pick-up person’s details
Decisions and applications
You can view and do the following:
Municipal Early Childhood Education and Care
- decision on a place in Early Childhood Education and Care
- decision on a pre-primary placement
- income information (income statement)
- fee decision
- termination of an Early Childhood Education and Care placement
Private Early Childhood Education and Care (service voucher)
- decision on a place in Early Childhood Education and Care
- decision on a pre-primary placement
- service voucher decision
- income information (income statement)
- termination of an Early Childhood Education and Care placement
What you do in Wilma
You still use Wilma for these things:
- child’s background information form (early childhood education and care plan)
- school enrolment
- the child’s pedagogical documents
- voit lukea asiakirjat kirjautumalla Wilmaan selaimella
Edlevo is a digital service designed for guardians that brings the most important Early Childhood Education and Care matters together in one view. The service is available:
- in a browser on a computer or mobile device
- as a mobile app (phone or tablet)
You sign in to the Edlevo App using Suomi.fi authentication:
- with online banking credentials or
- with a mobile certificate
The mobile app stays signed in for about a month if you do not log out. In the browser version you will not receive notifications of new events.
If you use the service on a shared computer, always remember to log out and clear the browser cache.

You can use the Edlevo App in two ways:
- Download the free Edlevo App from the app store (Google Play or App Store).
- Use Edlevo in a browser without installation.
If you wish, you can allow the app’s notifications in your phone settings to receive information about new events.

- Browsers: Edge, Firefox or Chrome (latest versions)
- iOS 13 or newer
Service and fee decisions for Early Childhood Education and Care are published in the Edlevo App for guardians who have not refused electronic notification. Decisions can be found in PDF format in their own folders.

This video guides how a guardian can terminate a child’s Early Childhood Education, pre-primary education, or club placement. A place can only be terminated if it is valid until further notice.
