Track and field facilities

There are three athletics fields in Vaasa.

Kaarle Field

  • Ruutikellarintie
  • The stand can accommodate 4,500 people
  • Running lanes: 8 x 400 m
  • Surface: mondo
  • Open:
    • from May to September Mon–Fri 07:00–21:00, Sat–Sun 10:00–18:00
    • You may freely use the field for training if there are no reservations. Check the field’s reservation status in the Timmi booking system.
    • Equipment can be borrowed from the athletics equipment storage. The storage is open during the field’s opening hours.
  • Teams and groups must always make a reservation with Sports Services’ customer service for training.

Kyrölä Field

  • Vähänkyröntie 55
  • Running lanes: 6 x 400 m (8 lanes on the front straight)
  • Surface: novotan

Palosaari Sports Field

  • Palosaarentie
  • The stand can accommodate 600 people
  • Running lanes: 400 m
  • Surface: crushed stone
