Have you become unemployed or been laid off? Find instructions for registering as a job seeker and discovering available jobs. We’re here to help you move forward.

You can register as a job seeker in the ‘E-services’ section of Job Market Finland. You can register as a job seeker before your unemployment or lay-off begins, but do so no later than on your first day of unemployment, because you can only receive unemployment benefits from the registration date.

If you become unemployed or are laid off, register as a job seeker via Job Market Finland’s E-services as soon as possible. You can view detailed registration instructions here (jobmarket.fi).

To log in, you will need online banking credentials, a mobile certificate, or a chipped ID card. You must be a citizen of an EU or EEA country or Switzerland.

If you do not have the possibility to use electronic identification, you can fill in the electronic Registration as a job seeker form (formbox.fi).

If you cannot use the E-services online platform or the electronic form, contact us by phone or visit us in person.

We offer training and coaching programmes to support your employment and help you develop your skills. We can also assist with career guidance and matters related to work ability.

We regularly organise various training and coaching programmes to assist you in your job search.

A work try-out, or trial, is a great option if you’ve graduated but lack experience in your field. It allows you to demonstrate your skills to an employer and may lead to a job.

Work try-outs are also useful for exploring new professions or industries if you’re considering further education.

If you’ve been unemployed for a long time, pay subsidy may be an option. Pay subsidy is paid to an employer who hires a job seeker with a long-term unemployment history. Discuss the possibility of pay subsidy with an Employment Services specialist.

Do you face challenges related to your work ability or coping with everyday demands? Employment Services can help you assess your situation and find suitable solutions. The aim is to support your opportunities to find employment, pursue education or training, or return to working life in a way that matches your strengths and resources.
