The Ravilaakso detailed plan is legally valid. Ravilaakso is intended to become a warm-hearted, lively and diverse district. In this mixed-use area in terms of housing structure and functions, the accessibility and suitability of different functions for various population groups has been emphasized.
On the site of the former horseracecourse a new district continuing Vaasa’s grid-centre has been created, offering a pleasant living environment for 2000-2500 residents. The area allows for diverse service and commercial premises.
