Finding routes and timetables
Route planner
The route planner is the easiest way to find the most suitable route and timetables for you. When you enter the departure point, destination and time into the service, the route planner finds the best connections, directs you to the correct stop and you can see which zone ticket you need. The route planner uses buses’ real-time location data, so you can see the bus’s actual arrival time at the stop and its position on the map.
If you allow the service to locate your smartphone, it can offer schedules and route suggestions based on your location. The route planner automatically remembers your previous address searches, and you can also save your favourite destinations there.
The route planner is not an app downloadable from an app store, but a web page. By adding it to your smartphone’s home screen you can use it like an app. The route planner is also available in the Waltti mobile ticketing app.

Tips for a successful and safe bus journey
- Arrive at the stop in good time, as the route planner’s time is an estimate.
- Use a reflector or other light source in the dark so the driver can see you and signal that they will stop.
- Have your travel card or other payment ready before the bus arrives.
- Make space for other passengers. Seats are filled starting from window seats. Do not occupy an extra seat by leaving your bag or feet on it.
- Buses are usually quite full in the mornings and afternoons. Please be considerate and move as far back in the bus as possible so passengers boarding at the next stops can get on. Do not stand in front of the doors.
- Only stand if all seats are taken. Fill standing areas starting from the rear of the vehicle.
- Please eat your snacks before or after the trip. Eating on the bus is not advisable.
- Press the stop button in good time when you want to get off. Do not press the button unnecessarily. Unnecessary stops affect the schedule for the whole day.
- Inform the driver of any disruptive behaviour or hazards you notice on the vehicle.
Travel safely with a child
A passenger carrying a child in a pram or stroller is not charged a fare. The free travel is based on the child’s safety – the child does not have to be left alone while paying.
Please note the following conditions:
- The child must remain in the pram or stroller for the entire journey for safety reasons.
- Empty prams or strollers do not entitle free travel.
Braking and turns can jolt prams. This is how to make the child’s journey safe:
- Engage the pram’s wheel brakes.
- Hold onto the pram for the entire journey.
- Never leave your child unattended.
It can be difficult for the driver to see a small child via the interior mirrors inside the bus, as they do not always show down to the child’s height. When leaving, it is safest to guide a walking child out before the adult. Pull the pram out after you while holding the handles. This prevents them from hitting the kerb at the stop.
