The amendment to the detailed plan for Museokatu 11 is legally valid. The plan enables housing on the former public services plot and supports the densification of the centre and the construction of new dwellings.
The protected old Telephone Association building located in the area will be preserved as part of the urbanistically valuable environment. Some buildings, however, will be demolished to make way for new residential buildings.
