Vaasa develops bicycle parking with a goal to make cycling easier and safer. The city is gradually adding new frame-lockable bike racks and arches to key shopping and public transport areas and replacing old racks that cannot be used to securely lock bicycles with modern solutions. The goal is to provide high-quality and easily accessible bicycle parking spaces throughout the city.

Vaasa is easy to explore by bike even if you don’t have your own. During the summer season you can rent a bicycle from Visit Vaasa’s tourist information at the Market Square for day trips and city tours. In addition, you can borrow a bike from the Vaasa City Library free of charge with a library card for up to one week. Bike rental and lending provide an easy way to explore the city’s sights, sea views and diverse cycling routes at your own pace.
