Strömsö beach

Strömsö Beach is located in the Västervik district. Strömsö is partly shaped by nature and partly built. The bathing area includes an approximately 50-metre sandy beach and a fairly extensive lawn area extending towards the mainland. The surroundings of the beach are both park-like and wooded.

A little further from the shore there is a deep area, which means the water deepens fairly quickly. The depth is two metres 20 metres from the shore. The beginning of the deep area is marked in the water with a buoy line. The bottom of the beach is mainly sand. In the northern part it is gravel and rock.

During the swimming season, in addition to the buoy line, Strömsö Beach has changing rooms for women and men, a lifebuoy with a rope, rubbish bins, a chemical toilet, a notice board and swings. There are two piers at the beach; one at each end. The southern pier is intended for diving.

Near the beach is the TV studio premises Villa Strömsö.

The parking area is one hundred metres from the beach, next to the lawn area.

Dogs and horses are not allowed on the beach.

Open fires are prohibited.
