Kotiranta, Metsäkallio, Kivihaka, Länsiniitty and Koskisuo are located near Vaasa city centre. Common to the areas are calmness, good services and an environment particularly suitable for families with children.
Kotiranta
Kotiranta (Hemstrand) is a pleasant and quiet residential area near Vaasa city centre and Kivihaka’s services. The area mainly consists of detached houses and small townhouses. Older buildings and green yards create a homely and atmospheric feeling to the area.
Kotiranta is especially suitable for those who value being close to the centre but want to live in a small-house neighbourhood.
Kivihaka
Kivihaka (Stenhaga) has rapidly developed into an important shopping and service area. There are several large stores, smaller specialty shops and a shopping centre in the area.
In addition, the bypass road, national road 8, runs via Kivihaka. The bypass diverts through traffic away from nearby Sepänkylä area and makes traffic smoother.
Metsäkallio, Länsiniitty and Koskisuo
Metsäkallio (Skogsberget), Länsiniitty (Västerängen) and Koskisuo (Forskärr) are among Vaasa’s newest residential areas. Many new detached houses have been built in these areas, and the neighbourhoods are particularly popular among families with children.
