The City of Vaasa does not collect personal data via social media or use it, for example, for marketing purposes outside the social media service.
If, for example, personal data is collected via a separate form in a competition, consent for the use of the personal data will be requested separately and it will be explained how the personal data is used and stored.
Private messages are retained only for their active use, i.e. for the duration of the conversation. After that they are deleted. Feedback related to improving operations is collected and used without personal data.
We do not process sensitive information or personal matters in social media services. For example, we do not discuss health conditions or bills.
We may share texts, images and videos related to Vaasa from other users’ public social media profiles on our channels. In such cases we always indicate the original source separately, unless it already appears in the shared information.
